Created in 2008 by the municipality, the Rives en Fête festival aims to recreate links between Chevrolins, by offering several free musical evenings in different places in the town. In fifteen years, the success of the festival has gone far beyond the borders of the municipality, with memorable concerts: Elmer Food Beat in 2018, Les Wampas in 2019 and Cali in 2023. This year, Superbus is the headliner. It's a rock, pop, festive group, in line with the festival which aims to be intergenerational and family-oriented.
believes the mayor, Johann Boblin.
The group releases its seventh album this year
The group was formed in 1999 by Jennifer Ayache who writes and composes almost all of the songs. It is with his third album, Wow, released in 2006 including the titles Butterfly et Lolathat the group will experience recognition with a Victoire de la Musique in the Best Pop Rock Album category.
Then, album releases will be more spaced out in the 2010s (Sunset in 2012, Sixtape in 2016), punctuated by breaks during which the members of the group devote themselves to solo projects. They will then come together around several singles and EPs, and a 20th anniversary tour disrupted by Covid…
2025 marks the release of their seventh album, already announced by the titles Sanitized et Baby Boom. Known for his boundless energy, Superbus should get the audience dancing at the sports complex on Monday June 20.
Around a hundred volunteers involved in the organization
-As for the organizers, the teams are ready. Today we can offer a professional technical reception with a 60 m stage2a safety system and a big effort on eco-responsibility. We can also count on our local associations and have developed for several years a sponsorship strategy with local businesses.
explains Rose Barreau, events manager.
The support of the festival committee is also very important, on the human side since it mobilizes around a hundred volunteers for the catering and the bar, and through its financial assistance which will be €9,000 for this evening.
adds Vincent Yvon, assistant in charge of entertainment.
Other concerts to follow, in June, in Passay and Trejet
The two other summer Friday meetings will take place in Passay, on June 13, and in Tréjet, on June 27, always with free concerts. It's a big budget for municipal finances, but over the years, the festival has taken root. It has become a highlight of conviviality and culture for the Chevrolins before the summer holidays.
concludes the mayor.
