This duo will make a noise on the stages of Tarn and Occitanie in the coming weeks

He has scoured the Tarn scenes in recent years. In Fiac, Graulhet, Salvagnac, Durfort, Monestiès, Argans, Gaillac… And of course Albi and Castres. The Boucan duo will make his return to the Tarnbut also elsewhere in Occitania and beyond, as far as Germany, for release of his new album.

Boucan is a duo from Toulouse composed of Brunoi Zarn (phony guitar/banjo/vocals) and Mathias Imbert (double bass/drums/vocals).

On January 31, 2025, his third album, Ballad of John Kairoswill be in stores (and online).

An album in which the group explores their voices even further, recorded in the studios of legendary producer John Parish in Bristol, England. John Parish, inseparable from PJ Harvey, also worked to Arno, Eels, Tracy Chapman or even the Monsters in Love of Dionysos.

The duo also benefited from the presence of GW Sok, lead singer of The Ex, a Dutch experimental post-punk group, and that of Lior Shoov, a playmate for over ten years.

An album that already has rave reviews, from Rolling Stone has Teleramapassing through Rock and Folk which classifies their music “between mutant folk, crazy fanfare and punk song”.

Three concerts in the Tarn

The duo, after a concert at the unmissable Jewel of Toulouse on January 23, and at the Red Moon the next day at Verfeil-sur-Seye (Tarn-et-Garonne) will be notably at the renowned Café Plùm de Lautrec in Tarn on January 25.

In February he will be at the Celtic Pub in Tarbes on the 12th and at Pierrot’s at Arcizans (Hautes-Pyrénées) on the 13th. Dates will follow in Hérault (Sète and Montpellier) or the Pyrénées-Orientales (Nature Songs and Acquis Wine Festival in Montner on April 6). Before a departure for the rest of France, but also in Switzerland and Germany during spring. And a triumphant return in summer to the Tarn, with locals in Mirandol on August 15 and at the Chapelle des Planques in Tanus the 17
