On May 17, 1925, Pius XI proceeded with the canonization of Thérèse of the Child Jesus. A century later, for the jubilee of this event, which brought together an immense crowd in and around Saint Peter's Basilica, a peregrination of relics of Sainte-Thérèse of Lisieux takes place across all the new parishes of the diocese of Bayeux-Lisieuxin Calvados, until June.
The relics of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux in the Pré-Bocage from January 31
This peregrination began with the parish of Saint-François de la Suisse Normande, in January. The relics were transported to several emblematic places in Normandy Switzerland, arousing fervor and emotion among the faithful as they passed.
The parish Sainte-Marie in Pré-Bocage is also already ready to welcome this historic moment at the end of January, for three days, between Villers-Bocage, Aunay-sur-Odon and Cahagnes.
The historic three-day program
The reliquary of Sainte-Thérèse (one of three existing, another remaining at the Carmel of Lisieux, while the last one travels internationally) should thus arrive in Villers-Bocage on Friday January 31 at 11 a.m..
-During the day, still in Villers-Bocage, a rosary for the sick at 3 p.m., and a mercy vigil at 6 p.m.
The next day, Saturday February 1, the program will continue in Aunay-sur-Odon. With, to start the day, a time dedicated to young people and catechism children. Before a single mass (no other mass in the evening) around 11 a.m.
Then head to Cahagnes, where another one is planned. vigilat 5 p.m.
Finally, return to Villers-Bocage on Sunday February 2, with news single mass (no other mass held in parallel in Aunay) at 10:30 a.m. aperitif and a meal will then be shared at noon.
