Senegal is preparing for a drop in temperatures this weekend

Senegal is preparing to experience a clear decrease in both daytime and nighttime temperatures, from Saturday until Monday, according to the National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM). The expected values should oscillate between 10 and 20°C, ANACIM indicated on Friday, as relayed by the APS.

This cooling will be more noticeable during the night and in the early morning hours, particularly affecting the north of the country. The regions of Saint-Louis, Podor, Matam, Louga and Linguère will see the mercury drop to minimums of between 10 and 15°C, specifies a special weather bulletin received by the APS.

In central and western areas of Senegal such as Dakar, Thiès, Diourbel, Fatick and Kaolack, minimum temperatures are expected to be between 16 and 18°C. These forecasts are important for anticipating heating needs and protecting agricultural crops.
