Of the impacts are expected on traffic between January 20 and the end of February at the level of the place Hélène Boucher and rue du Capitaine Pougnon in Tours. In fact, the Touraine Mobility Union is carrying out demolition work prior to the construction of the tram line 2.
These works will have an influence on the public domain, place Hélène Boucher and rue du Capitaine Pougnon:
- Pedestrians are invited to use the sidewalk on rue du Capitaine Pougnon, opposite 30/32 rue Hélène Boucher.
- Cars arriving from rue Maryse Bastié will have priority on rue du Capitaine Pougnon.
35,000 trips expected every day
Approximately 12.5 kilometers long, tram line 2 will connect the towns of La Riche and Chambray-lès-Tours passing through Tours and Joué-lès-Tours. The preliminary project studies, validated in early 2024, made it possible to define the number and location of future passenger stations.
-35,000 trips are expected every day on the future tram line 2.
The commissioning of this line is planned for the end of the 1st quarter 2028.
