Faced with a series of violent incidents, CRS are sent as reinforcements to this town in Gard

For almost a year, certain districts of Nimes (Gard) are affected by serious violence. Several dramatic news items took place there, notably the sensitive district of Pissevin.

Faced with this increase in criminal acts, the State has decided to react.

CRS as reinforcements

At the recent request of the prefect Jérôme Bonet and the interdepartmental management of the National Policea CRS company arrived in the capital of Gard, Sunday January 12.

The precise duration of the presence of these additional agents in the Gard is not known to date. Officials of the Gard national police report “ a few days» on Twitter ).

“The members of this company are responsible for carrying out operations ofcontrols and security in different neighborhoodsof Nîmes (Gard)”, specify the Prefect’s services.
