After the success of its projects in different Spanish cities, the company, based in Galicia, considers strategic the continuation of its development in Africa and has chosen Morocco to set up its first factory outside of Spain, indicates the group in a press release.

This factory, located in the Benslimane region, will generate more than 60 jobs and provide services for all the hotel projects that the company is developing on the continent. It will thus allow the group to strengthen its internationalization process with a production center close to the markets of the Mediterranean basin, Africa and the Middle East, underlines the same source.

The new factory will cover an area of ​​4,500 m2 and will have the necessary facilities for the complete manufacturing cycle of joinery and furniture elements. Additionally, the production center will have the capacity to integrate ancillary elements such as metal structures, glass, stone and upholstery.

“This operation is part of the company’s investment plan and represents 2.2 million euros in installations and equipment,” explained the group’s president, Alejandro Valladares, quoted in the press release.

“Currently, 70% of our turnover already comes from international projects, notably from the rest of the EU, the Middle East, the United Kingdom or the United States, but also from Africa,” he said. -he continued, noting that over the last 4 years, nearly 12% of our turnover comes from projects in Morocco.

With a turnover of 80 million euros, Martínez Otero is one of the European leaders in the development, manufacturing and installation of interior carpentry and high-end furniture in sectors such as hospitality, retail and residential, according to the press release.
