Lautaret, Galibier, Izoard, Agnel or even Granon… to promote the great high-Alpine passes, what could be better than going to the country of cycling: Belgium. The Hautes-Alpes with the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur regional tourism committee are at the Vélofollies show in Kortrijk, an event bringing together 300 exhibitors over 40,000 m² for a few days.
The opportunity to announce the renewal for 2025 of the grand pass by bike operation: from May to September 2025 the legendary passes of the Hautes-Alpes close the road to vehicles for cyclists in turn.
According to the Hautes-Alpes development agency, among summer tourists, 16.6% practice mountain biking and 12.4% road cycling: this places cycling as the second activity practiced after hiking in the department.
