Slight decline in the tertiary sector in November 2024
A situation which can be explained by the poor performance of real estate activities (-66.8%), information and communication (-0.7%), public administration (-0.1%) and health (-0.2%).
However, an increase in activity is observed, in particular, in commerce (+2.6%), financial and insurance activities (+10.1%), support and office services (+11, 2%) and “specialized, scientific and technical activities” (+5.7%).
On an annual basis, the Dpee underlines that activity in the tertiary sector also fell by 10.3% in November 2024, mainly in connection with the decline in “specialized, scientific and technical activities” (-65 .9%). On the other hand, a good performance of activity is, in particular, observed in commerce (+3.7%), information and communication (+11.0%), financial and insurance activities (+ 17.1%) and public administration (+4.0%).
