British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Thursday morning with a promise to help ensure the country’s long-term security.

This is Keir Starmer’s first trip to Ukraine since he took office in July. He visited the country in 2023, when he was opposition leader, and has spoken twice with Volodymyr Zelensky at 10 Downing St. since becoming prime minister.

Keir Starmer was welcomed at Kyiv train station by the UK Ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, and Ukraine’s envoy to London, Valeri Zaluzhny.
