The Sûreté du Québec suspended the search at the end of the day yesterday to find a 75-year-old man missing since Saturday in Saint-Augustin on the Lower North Shore. He has still not been found.
Remember that SQ divers found the ATV on Monday. The spokesperson for the Sûreté pour la Côte-Nord Hugues Beaulieu specifies that the search could resume if new elements of investigation emerge.
The police, with the help of the Basse-Côte-Nord Rangers trained by the Canadian Army, carried out four days of searches on the ground. The search operation made it possible on Sunday to spot traces of the ATV going towards the Saint-Laurent. The St. Augustine man had left his home Saturday to go inspect an area of firewood.
