“Lack of salary attractiveness, major recruitment difficulties, deficit in speech therapy care, loss of opportunity for patients, impoverishment of multidisciplinary care” : this is the list of findings drawn up by a group of seventeen speech therapists working in the Finistère structures of the Finistère Public Education Pupils (Pep 29): medical-psycho-pedagogical centers of Brest, Landerneau, Morlaix, Quimper-Pont-l'Abbé, early medico-social action centers in Morlaix and Carhaix).

A request that dates
On the sidelines of the association day, Thursday January 16, 2025 in Pleyben, this collective is sounding the alarm: “Recognition of the diploma is still pending in the medico-social sector, salaries remain too low. »
-Consequence, according to these professionals: “Vacancies and many children who experience disruptions in care or who cannot start speech therapy. » They continue: “For almost three years, Pep 29 speech therapists have been asking their employer to take responsibility for safeguarding speech therapy within its structures. […] It is clear that to date, no steps have been taken in this direction by the association. »
