The white plan was lifted at the Drôme Nord Hospitals (HDN) on Tuesday January 14. Ten days after its outbreak, mobilizing health personnel and while patients were continuously flocking to the emergency department.
“Our capacities have been, by far, insufficient to take care of all these cases”, specified in our columns the head of establishment Vincent Pegeot on January 7, referring to the Christmas holiday period.
146 visits to the emergency room were recorded on December 26 compared to an average of around a hundred in previous years, and even though the premises are sized to accommodate 70 visits per day.
The flu now seems to be receding and the situation is gradually easing. The HDN also specifies that “the regulation of emergencies by calling center 15 is also lifted”.
