Diamniadio, January 14 (APS) – The New Initiative for the Humanist Transformation of Education (NITHE), a school approach aimed at training, by 2035, “a citizen well-backed by his endogenous base of African and spiritual values », will be operationalized immediately, indicated, Monday, the Minister of National Education, Moustapha Mbamba Guirassy.
”What has just been validated must be immediately integrated into schools and operationalized at central and decentralized levels,” he told Diamniadio.
He spoke during the institutional validation ceremony of this new initiative in the presence of stakeholders in the education system.
He specifies that this new approach is part of “the vision of an inclusive and efficient educational society”. It consists of “forming, by 2035, a citizen well-backed by its endogenous base of African and spiritual values”, he explained, stressing that the NITHE concept “wants to promote values and introduce them into the education system”.
He called for ”developing effective communication for the appropriation of the initiative by the communities but also in order to ensure its effective implementation while reporting regularly to the authority”.
According to him, ”what makes man, what makes a nation, is essentially the basis of values”, ‘All great nations are distinguished by values. It is through values that we move towards science, towards technology, towards peace, democracy (…)”, he further underlined.
On this occasion, Mr. Guirassy invited the actors involved to maintain this dynamic of inclusion, collaboration and participation, to give the initiative its full substance.
Experts, traditional communicators, civil society organizations as well as unions representative of the education sector took part in this institutional validation ceremony of the New Initiative for the Humanist Transformation of Education.
