Saint-Louis, January 14 (APS) – “The contribution of the Office of Lakes and Rivers (OLAC) to food sovereignty in Senegal: issues and perspectives” is the key theme of a panel of the 5th edition of the Saint-Louis International Fair, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of the old town.
»We attended the panel organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Saint-Louis. We participated through a theme that we addressed on the contribution of OLAC to the food sovereignty policy in Senegal: issues and perspectives,” declared, Monday, the director of OLAC, Diarra Sow, at the ‘outcome of the panel.
»And whoever talks about OLAC, knows that we manage everything that involves surface water mobilization. And we cannot talk about productive agriculture without having water resources available,” she added.
Ms. Sow presented in her presentation the various projects executed by OLAC and which have the major objective of participating in the food security advocated by the new authorities, particularly in the public policy framework “Senegal vision 2050”.
The director of OLAC, accompanied by a large delegation, visited some stands at this fair located in the heart of Place Baya Ndar, formerly Place Faidherbe.
