The Vatican Ambassador to Senegal, Mgr Waldemar Stanisław Sommertag, visited the Caliph General of the Mourides yesterday, Monday. During this meeting, he expressed his deep admiration for the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim complex, which he also had the opportunity to discover, informs Le Soleil.
The same source reports that following its audience with the Patriarch of Darou Minane, the delegation went to the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim complex. On site, the religious expressed his admiration for the infrastructure. “It’s very pretty, this very large complex with already great results. It’s to be admired with all the buildings that are under construction,” he confided.
The university plays a crucial role, he says, because education and training must go hand in hand. And, he continues, it is the responsibility of religious representatives to transmit the fundamental values essential to quality education.
According to him, it is essential that future generations benefit from solid training. Thus, he asked God for “all the light necessary for the accomplishment of this mission of education and training of all religions”.
