It has been almost two years since the former deputy mayor stayed away from municipal affairs, a consequence of his conviction by the courts, in December 2022, for having granted a fictitious job to his mother-in-law. The ex-political baron therefore did not wait for the end of his ineligibility sentence, on December 31, 2024, to make a name for himself again in this former communist stronghold that he overthrew in 2001, at the age of 33 years old.
