Laurent Fournier is no longer the coach of C'Chartres. By a very brief press release (see below), the resident of National 3 effectively informed of the departure of the 60-year-old technician this Monday, January 13. “C'Chartres Football has made the decision to part ways with Laurent Fournier, coach of the N3 team, to whom we extend our most sincere thanks for his commitment and the work accomplished within the club. We wish him every success for the rest of his career and good continuation in his future projects”, writes the Eure-et-Loire club. The departure of the former professional player comes as a surprise. In place since the summer of 2023, Laurent Fournier firstly allowed Chartres to return to the fifth French division after its demotion to Regional 1. After 12 days, his now ex-team occupies first place in group F with 24 points , as much as Montlouis (2nd). His last match managed was therefore a defeat, on the pitch at Vierzon (1-2), this Saturday January 11.
