Maintenance work will take place at Zurich Airport station between January 17 and February 10, affecting train operations over four consecutive weekends. The SBB will replace eight switches to guarantee the safety and punctuality of trains. This work will result in train cancellations and diversions, particularly for main lines (EC, IC and IR) and regional trains (S2, S7 and S11). Extensions in travel times, of up to around twenty minutes, are to be expected.
To minimize inconvenience, SBB recommends consulting the timetable online or via the SBB mobile app before traveling. Announcements and information at the station, as well as special trains and an increased frequency of trams between Zurich-Oerlikon and the airport will make it possible to adapt commuter journeys.
