Dakar, Jan 12 (APS) – La Linguère de Saint-Louis (Senegalese elite) announced on Saturday evening that it had amicably parted ways with its head coach, El Hadji Massamba Cissé.
In a press release sent to the APS, Linguère explains that the decision to part ways with his head coach is part of his “desire to maintain the sporting dynamic of the club and respond to the aspirations of the supporters”.
Beyond this measure, the football team also announces its intention to carry out a “rearrangement of its technical staff”, adds the text.
El Hadji Massamba Cissé arrived during the off-season at Linguère, in August 2024, after signing a two-year contract with the flagship club of the 300-year-old town.
He was also a former coach of AS Pikine and Stade de Mbour.
The “Samba Linguère” have played 11 matches since the start of the season. They recorded one victory, four defeats and six draws.
La Linguère conceded 12 goals and scored 8 goals. It is currently 15th and penultimate in the Ligue 1 rankings.
