Alerted, local authorities, supported by intervention teams, quickly freed the grandmother. However, the father had retreated into the house, threatening to harm his daughter with bladed weapons if he approached.
With great caution, law enforcement sought to de-escalate the situation to ensure the child’s safety. Taking advantage of a moment of inattention on the part of the suspect, they carried out a rapid and decisive intervention, enabling the little girl to be saved.
Unfortunately, despite the intervention of the emergency services and his emergency transfer to the provincial hospital of Sidi Bennour, the little victim succumbed to his sufferings shortly after his arrival, probably due to the conditions of detention.
-The suspect was immediately arrested and taken into custody. An in-depth investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy. Furthermore, the girl’s body was transferred to the morgue of Mohammed V hospital in El Jadida for autopsy.
