XALIMANEWS: In a press release made public this Thursday, Thierno Alassane Sall was indignant at the controversy around the appointment of Aoua Bocar Ly and the compensation of the victims of the outgoing regime. The leader of the Republic of Values party indicates that the regime in place manages details instead of being interested in the real problems of the Senegalese and reminds the pastef of Ousmane Sonko of the way in which he conquered power.
Thierno Alassane Sall has not been kind to the regime in place, in particular Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. In his statement this Thursday, the former candidate for the 2024 presidential election maintains that Pastef did not respect the commitments for which he was brought to power. “Today at the perch of the State, Pastef breaks the pact and allows itself to manage domestic battles at the expense of the priorities for which they were elected. The citizen who was to be at the heart of the project sees himself relegated to the periphery as a spectator observing that the big bandits have a coast of honor: they only argue at the moment of sharing the spoils between nominations for the rest of the 4000 executives and money for partisan patriots,” he said.
Continuing, the parliamentarian believes that all these controversies “drown out” the real debate on the “catastrophic” economic situation of the country. According to him, subjects on the budget and the amending finance law and its 4,491 billion debt and the debt forecast of 4,500 billion CFA francs without forgetting the $1.5 billion on Eurobonds could have been the subject of concrete analyzes for the interest of the people. From this perspective, he questions the sincerity of the “break” promised by the government by pointing the finger at the increase in consumer spending, as well as the wage bill.
According to him, the regime in place has assumed the “illegitimate and illegal” role of rewarding 5 billion to those they describe as “potential thugs supposedly defending the famous project” instead of putting in place a good and transparent compensation plan for victims of the outgoing regime. Finally, the president of the Republic of Values declares that the abolition of the economic, social and environmental council and the high council of local authorities had an objective other than rationalization.
-“Ultimately, this semblance of rationalization, disguised by the suppression of institutions (HCCT & CESE) which they considered budget-consuming, without judging their relevance, aimed solely at camouflaging the increase in the President’s political funds of 4 billion, present in the amending finance law, the 108 million distributed in secret from Tabaski”, he concluded while reminding Ousmane Sonko and his family of the way in which they arrived in power.
