The famous pornographic site publishes its users’ search statistics every year. We requested the data for Switzerland.

Imagine your browsing history suddenly being made public. That’s pretty much what Pornhub does every December. On this occasion, the famous porn site is releasing a report analyzing the behavior of its visitors in great detail: most searched terms, most viewed categories, most popular actors and actresses… everything is covered. We asked the platform for statistics on Switzerland, which did not appear in the original publication.
Let’s start by saying that the Swiss seem to really appreciate the content offered by Pornhub: in the overall ranking of countries by traffic, Switzerland is in 27th place. Not bad for a population of nine million. Reflecting this enthusiasm, the average duration of each visit is 10 minutes and 39 seconds, compared to 9 minutes and 40 seconds worldwide.
Let’s come to the most searched terms. They are as follows:

The word that the Swiss typed most often in the search bar is an absolute classic of the X industry: “milf”. If you haven’t seen American Pieknow that this acronym designates “a sexually attractive mother” (thanks Wikiépdia) and literally means “mother I’d like to fuck”.
It is also the second most searched term globally. Indeed, milf “systematically ranks in the top 3”, indicates Pornhub, which comments:
“Viewers love mature, sexy, empowered women who aren’t afraid to get what they want, and the data proves it.”
“Deutsch” and “French”
The rest of the Confederate top 15 doesn’t deviate too much from global trends. There are many other terms present in the overall ranking, such as “hentai” (mainly anime of a pornographic nature), “anal”, “big ass”, “lesbian” and “asian” (we don’t need to translate these).
However, three terms stand out: “deutsch”, “german” and “french”ranked second, seventh and tenth, respectively. Here we find a slightly chauvinistic reflex specific to many countries: looking for what is like us. In our case, rather at the linguistic level.
-“It is not uncommon for people to want to see videos featuring their fellow citizens,” notes Pornhub. A look at the other national rankings confirms this: in France, the most searched term is “francaise”, in Germany “deutsch”, in Poland “polska”, in Italy “italiano” and in Colombia “colombiana”.
Alongside these well-established terms, others are gaining popularity. Trending searches highlight a certain creativity: such as “best friends mom”, “business trip” or “gym leggings”, which refer, more or less, to our daily lives.

As for the categories seen most often, we find the classics mentioned above (“anal”, “mature”, “milf”, “lesbian”, etc.). The relative categories, that is to say the most viewed in relation to the world ranking, reserve some surprises. After nationalities (“German”, “French”), we discover much more… sectoral interests: “pissing”, “bondage” and “fetish” (we’ll let you do your research).

The most popular actor in Switzerland
As with the top categories, the Swiss appear to be rather conformist in terms of their favorite performers. The Swiss top five brings together the most popular stars worldwide, such as actor Alex Adams, actress Angela White, or her colleague Lana Rhoades.

Finally, note that, last year, women represented 37% of Pornhub’s Swiss audience. A proportion in line with the overall average (38%) and higher than that observed in our neighboring countries, where this percentage varies between 26% in Germany and 30% in France.
