In a press release, Casamémoire indicates that this ambitious and structured training program, which will extend over several months, aims to train guides-mediators capable of transmitting to Casablancans and passing visitors the richness of the city’s heritage.

By combining classroom theoretical sessions and field visits, Casamémoire offers its volunteers a complete experience to master the historical and cultural specificities of Casablanca and raise public awareness, continues the same source.

And note that the training covers several aspects, including the basics of urban planning and architecture of Casablanca, the role and responsibilities of the guide-mediator, and in-depth explorations of the city’s emblematic districts.

More than 500 participants took part in presentations and field visits organized on November 24, November 30 and December 1, 2024, marking the start of their immersion in their role as mediators, the association said, specifying that the training program will continue from January to May 2025.

Casablanca Heritage Days have become an unmissable annual event to celebrate and promote the city’s rich architectural and cultural heritage. The Nocturnes, organized during Ramadan, will offer a unique experience of guided night tours from 9 p.m., highlighting the hidden gems of the city from a new angle.
