The accident of a German company FlixBus bus traveling between Germany and Poland left two dead and injured others on Saturday on a motorway in the north of the country, the company said.

The accident occurred in the afternoon on the route between Berlin and the Polish city of Szczecin, according to a Flixbus press release. Among the 14 people on board, including a driver, “two people died. The other occupants were transported to nearby hospitals,” the statement said.

According to local police, the victims are a 29-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man. The police counted eleven injured, including the bus driver. “The exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known,” adds the company. German media footage showed the bus overturned on its side, along the highway barrier near thick piles of snow

In March 2024, the accident of a FlixBus coach carrying 54 people in eastern Germany left four dead and many injured.

FlixBus is a German company managing a large fleet of long-distance coaches in several European countries, Morocco and the United States.
