The Chinese company Qinghai, with annual production capacity of 5 million tonnes of agricultural fertilizers, will invest in the construction of a chemical fertilizer factory in Congo Brazzaville
The information comes from the Ministry of International Cooperation and the Promotion of Public-Private Partnership. “This Friday, January 10, 2025, I received a delegation from the Chinese company Qinghai, leader in the production of chemical fertilizers in China and Asia, with an annual capacity of 5 million tonnes. She came to present to me her project to build an agricultural fertilizer production plant on our soil, wrote on her account Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, Minister of International Cooperation and the Promotion of Public-Private Partnership. And he adds: “this project is consistent with the action plan adopted in Beijing during the 9th FOCAC summit, and is part of the vision of the President of the Republic on the diversification of our economy, translated into our national development plan PND (2022-2026 ). »
Through this project, the Chinese leader in agricultural fertilizers aims to contribute to the economic transformation of Congo “while meeting an essential need for agricultural development. » “This partnership, if it comes to fruition, will constitute a major lever for promoting our local resources and positioning agriculture as a driver of our economic growth,” concludes Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso.
-Note that the Congo does not lack natural resources for the production of chemical fertilizer, a set of three constituents which are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
