Still looking for reinforcements for the winter transfer window, Stade is reportedly considering its former player trained at the club, Lillian Brassier, according to Ouest-.

Stade Rennes started 2025 strong with the recruitment on January 1 of Seko Fofana in the middle, and could continue with the expected arrival of Brice Samba as goalkeeper. These two major reinforcements, committing long-term to the Breton club, should not be the last this winter, since Rennes is looking in all sectors, and particularly in defense.

Alidu Seidu's long-term injury, and the nuanced performances of the pivotal trio composed of Hateboer, Ostigard and Faye, push Rennes to want to recruit in this sector. And according to Ouest-France, Lillian Brassier would be one of the leads in the latter's training club.

Currently without playing time in , Brassier, still under contract with but loaned with a compulsory purchase option, would be pushed to the start. But his salary would remain significant, and in the event of a transfer, Brest would owe 3 of the 12 million euros expected in June from Marseille… to Rennes in terms of training rights. Previously, Bamo Meïté and Chancel Mbemba had also been mentioned at the SRFC, but the second did not wish to come, according to the same sources.
