Flu, gastroenteritis or even Covid-19, during the end-of-year holidays, viruses did not take a vacation. In Savoie, the hospitals of Bourg-Saint-Maurice (CHBSM) and Albertville-Moutiers (CHAM) have triggered an internal mobilization plan, i.e. the first level of the white plan.
The reason? The emergency rooms of these hospital centers are facing high numbers of people, leading to significant waiting times and weakening hospital bed capacity, management said in a press release.
In the event of a medical need, the population is asked to consult, as a priority, attending physicians, in-station doctors, on-call medical centers, or call SOS Médecins.
If going to the emergency room is the only option, you must first contact 15 who will direct the patient to the most suitable service.
The best way to avoid viruses is prevention. You just need to adopt a few simple actions such as: washing your hands regularly, wearing a mask in enclosed spaces or if you have symptoms, avoiding close contact if you are sick, and finally ventilating shared spaces.
