Jean-Didier Berger hands over, who is the new mayor of Clamart?

Passing of the torch. At the start of the morning, Tuesday January 7, 2025, the Municipal Council of Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine) met to elect its new mayor. In fact, after the dismissal of the appeal against the election of Jean-Didier Berger (LR) as a deputy, the latter being unable to combine his functions, the elected officials proceeded to designate his successor.

Yves Coscas, elected by an absolute majority, is now the new councilor of the ville. Deputy mayor of Clamart since 2014, he is also departmental councilor of Hauts-de-Seine and vice-president of South Valley-Grand Paris.

“I would continue to work with the new mayor”

Deputy Mayor 6 months previous this election, Jean-Didier Berger confided to Paris news that he “will continue [t] to work with the new mayor and ensure that we always stay close of [s] we are a municipal team.”

“It’s a duo,” adds Yves Coscas, who assures that strategic decisions will be “taken together”. Furthermore, Jean-Didier Berger will retain his place as municipal councilor. The former mayor, elected deputy after the dissolution in 2024, also dropped the vice presidency from the Île-de-France region.
