Dauphiné Fair in the fall, passage of Tour de riders and Sur le Champ musical festival! in during the summer period, development of the A7 and trial of the Romans-sur-Isère attack… News Drôme has selected five events to tick off your calendar in 2025.

1- Animation: the Dauphiné fair, in Romans-sur-Isère

This year, the Dauphiné fairorganized by the eponymous association, will make its grand return to Romans-sur-Isère on a brand new site, that of Glycines, near the Monnaie district. The 85th edition of this unmissable event in the Drôme landscape, which attracted up to 120,000 visitors during its best years, will take place from Saturday September 27 to Sunday October 5, 2025.

At the roundabout at the eastern entrance to Romans, the site, fully fenced and equipped, will extend over 36 000 m² d’exposition. No fewer than 380 exhibitors are expected, and events are planned every day.

2- Sport: the Tour de France, in Valencia

The people of Drômois will have the opportunity to observe the stars of the world peloton in July. The Tour de France will be passing through the department where Tadej Pogacar, last winner, Jonas Vingegaard, Wout van Aert, Mathieu van der Poel and Remco Evenepoel will show off their pedal strokes. After 1996, 2015, 2018 and 2021, Valencia will welcome the runners of the Grande Boucle for the fifth time in its history.

3- Traffic: the A7 motorway will be developed

Long in the works, the covering of the A7 in Valencia will not happen. But to reduce noise pollution and less inconvenience to local residents, noise-reducing walls made of wood and concrete will be installed over five kilometers between Valence et Bourg-lès-Valencereports Here Drôme Ardèche. The work, which is due to start during 2025, will take place in several phases.


The project also plans developments around the soft roads on three bridges which cross the A7, as well as the development of the river stop. This project at 32 million eurosvalidated in the summer of 2024 by the government, will be financed by Vinci (€22.8 million), the Department (€3.7 million), the Region (€4 million) and finally Valence Romans Agglo (646,000 euros ).

4- Justice: the trial of the Romans-sur-Isère attack

In full confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the knife attack left two dead and five injured on April 4, 2020, in Romans-sur-Isère. Abdallah Osman Ahmed is due to appear in 2025.

The Sudanese refugee will be tried by the special assize court in . The trial is expected to take place over 15 days, from October 27 to November 7, 2025, according to the dates proposed to the parties.

5- : the Sur le Champ festival! in Valencia

The Festival On the Field! returns from July 23 to 26, 2025for a 9th edition, on the Place du Champ-de-Mars, in downtown Valence. This year, the City decided to delay the event by a week, to make the dates of the concerts coincide with the passage of the Tour de France (see above). The party will be total!

Over the years, this musical festival, which has seen French singing talents such as Zaho de Sagazan, Julien Doré, Vianney, Juliette Armanet, Jeanne Added, and Hoshi, has established itself as a cultural event. flagship of the department.

Last year, the emblematic musical duo from Mali, Amadou and Mariam, but also Julien Granel, Dionysos or Zazie again had performed on the Champ-de-Mars stage.

Several tens of thousands of festival-goers are expected over four days. For the 2025 program, however, we will still have to wait…
