A fervent defender of eating well and organic gardening has left us. The gardener Victor Renaud died, Wednesday December 25, 2024, at his home, in Presles (Val-d'Oise). He was 89 years old.

Defender of organic

Born in Saint-Thurial, in Ille-et-Vilaine, Victor Renaud settled in Presles in the 1970s. He was one of the first gardeners to promote organic farming, convinced that good health comes from 'first by the plate.

The Preslois gardener collaborated for several years with the Valdois weekly L'Écho, the Regional in which we found, each week, his advice for maintaining and growing your garden and vegetable garden.

On January 12, 2019, he was elevated to the rank of Commander of the National Order of Agricultural Merit.

Ancient vegetables

Organic farming technician and winner of the Organic Pioneers Trophy, Victor Renaud collected old vegetables.

“Father Victor” was also a member of the Peasant Writers and Artists association. He wrote several books – almost twenty in 23 years – in which he highlighted his planet-friendly gardening methods.
