Senegal has set itself the objective of retaining the titles it has won in continental Football competitions in recent years, declared the national technical director (DTN), Mayacine Mar.
“We want and we want to keep the titles that we have won and also for the women’s national team to win the African Cup”, he said at the opening of a meeting dedicated to the results of the participation national teams in the elimination phases of the various African Cups of Nations.
Senegal managed to qualify all its national teams for the various competitions organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
African champion in the under-17 and under-20 categories as well as the tournament reserved for local players, Senegal will defend its titles.
» Today, we are African champions. We must repeat these successes. We have the possibility and the capabilities,” insisted the DTN.
The National Technical Director assures that the President of the Senegalese Football Federation will spare no effort to put the national teams in excellent conditions to achieve performances.
He invited coaches to put in place “a good plan” of preparation for the national teams.
»From February, CHAN will start. The other competitions will arrive. We need to put in place a system, a preparation schedule to put ourselves in excellent conditions for participation through training courses, and above all, international friendly matches,” added Mayacine Mar.
