In Ottawa, the Prime Minister must end the wait for his future this morning.
Justin Trudeau will make an announcement at 10:45 a.m.
Corridor rumors are rife and according to some media, Justin Trudeau would resign as leader of the Liberal Party, but could remain prime minister until he is replaced.
We will also know during his announcement whether he will ask the Governor General, Mary Simons, to prorogue the session to allow a race for the leadership of the party.
It should be remembered that Mr. Trudeau has been criticized for a long time and is constantly falling in the polls.
But the straw that broke the camel’s back was the resounding resignation of Chrystia Freeland, who left her role as finance minister on December 16.
However, she is still an MP…and a candidate for party leadership.
Justin Trudeau was first elected in 2008 in the riding of Papineau in Montreal. He has been at the head of the country since 2015.
