In the documents approved by the Fleurimont borough council in November, it is specified that indoor parking and outdoor parking will be provided.

“We’re going with a principle of blocks [dans l’architecture]. It’s special as a ground installation. It’s interesting too. On the one hand, we are happy that parking is making way for housing, because it is still a heat island. As there is a need for housing in the city, the more there is, the better. This is a recommendation that is accepted by our services,” commented Councilor Danielle Berthold.

Municipal documents indicate that the base of the project is made up of three volumes and that the building exceeds the height and volume of buildings in the area. “However, the prospect of densifying the urban fabric by authorizing a maximum height of five floors should prevail,” we indicate in an analysis grid.

The red brick would dominate the entire facade while a metal cladding is planned for the fifth floor.

The City has formulated four conditions for the completion of the project. Two of them concern the style, shape, dimensions and materials of the bins used for residual materials. We add that the green roof projected above the storage room must be built as shown on the plans and that the area reserved for bicycle parking be sheltered from bad weather.
