From this Tuesday, January 7, 2025, 4,500 exhibitors including 800 start-ups will meet in 270,000 m² of exhibition space to welcome 175,000 digital professional visitors, 35% of whom are from outside the United States. Welcome to the crazy world of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas! Every year, the casino capital of the world showcases the latest innovative electronic technologies. The goal: to exchange, discover and do business, of course! And young French startups will once again be well represented, particularly those from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, some of whom are traveling with the support of the region. “For this new edition, 80 companies applied, but we only selected 40 in total. The region finances part of their registration for the CES, because it believes in their projects,” specifies Auvergne – Rhône-Alpes Entreprises.

Among them, five start-ups from Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme) and its metropolis will be on the trip until January 11. “We’re so looking forward to it! », were getting impatient a few days before the trip, Léo Mosteffa and his partner Damien Giron, who are preparing to live their American dream in XXL mode. The two young partners have developed the Smartrips application, making it possible to quickly organize group trips without having to worry about long exchanges on WhatsApp loops. “We are starting with the ambition to conduct technological monitoring, observe the competition, and create commercial partnerships, with a view to raising funds in 2025,” they explain.

At their side, their incubator neighbor, Mélanie Neveu, at the origin of the start-up Coucoü, which allows elderly people or people unfamiliar with new technologies to also have access to videoconferencing. Thanks to its solution, you can talk on your landline and see yourself on your ! Smart Brain, for its part, will try to seduce with its patented artificial intelligence algorithm, which makes it possible to identify a candidate for employment in just a few questions. Will the Trackt00 application, which allows automated management of stocks in restaurants in order to avoid waste, waste and theft, appeal to the CES audience?

Finally, Fest will also be there. The application created a year ago offers festival organizers the ability to centralize programming, ticketing, the cashless payment system for catering, schedules and access plans. Based in Chamalières (Puy-de-Dôme), Fest has already attracted major events such as Quais du polar in , Electronic beaches in and even Montreal Gay Pride. Its creator, Maxime Frely, was even contacted by the city of Phoenix (Arizona) just before heading to Vegas!
