“One of television’s cult games returns to M6 ! » The channel announced this Tuesday, January 7, 2025 the return of Wheel of Fortunein a press release sent to actu.fr. And it is the magician and comedian Éric Antoine who will be at the presentation.
A program “historic and known to all, with its famous wheel to spin and its puzzles to solve”, underlines M6. After several years of absence, it will be broadcast from Monday to Friday at 5:30 p.m., starting January 27.
The candidates will try their luck and will have to “discover the hidden words and expressions, while hoping to win the biggest winnings offered by the wheel”, while avoiding “the dreaded bankruptcy and the other traps that it reserves”, continues the channel.
Participants can win up to 20,000 euros or “a dream trip to the other side of the world ».
Long absence on air
Wheel of Fortune is the adaptation of the television game show Wheel of Fortune, originally broadcast in the United States on the channel NBC. Since its creation, the format has been used in 38 countries with 53 adaptations.
The game appears on TF1 between 1987 and 1997. It was put back on the air in 2006 in a new version presented by Christophe Dechavanne accompanied by Victoria Silvstedt and the dog Adeck until 2011, then Benjamin Castaldi accompanied by Valérie Bègue at the start of 2012.
