Vox attacks Pedro Sanchez in the middle of the debate on the opening of customs
Speaking last Friday on Radio Libertad, the Vox MP accused the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, to cede control of customs of the two enclaves to Morocco. According to him, the agreement under discussion would allow Morocco to introduce all its commercial products without restriction, while Rabat could impose a veto on the entry of Spanish products. This is the MP’s own interpretation of the details relayed by El Pais, reputedly serious, which exclusively revealed this information. The agreement in question is not yet official and its terms remain, for now; unknown in their entirety

Figaredo also suggested that Morocco is putting pressure on Sánchez. This situation, according to him, would explain the decisions contrary to the “interests of the Spanish people” taken by the leader of the PSOE.

For his part, the president of Melilia, Juan José Imbroda, member of the Popular Party, expressed his reservations about the reopening of customs. He warned that, if Moroccan conditions were accepted, this agreement would only favor Moroccan economic interests to the detriment of those of Melilia.

These declarations come as negotiations between Spain and Morocco on the opening of Sebta and Melilia customs are about to be concluded, according to EL Pais.

Vox, a political party classified as far-right, regularly criticizes the policies of the Sánchez government, particularly with regard to relations with Morocco.
