Have you left or lost your job? Know that you have the right to unemployment benefitcalled “return to employment assistance” (ARE).
She is paid every month by France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi since 1is January 2024), after updating the situation of the beneficiary. In fact, France Travail published in mid-December the schedule for unemployment benefit payments in 2025.
Mandatory declaration each month
Beneficiaries must declare their situation every monthwhen opening the update. This is not an option, since it is only once the situation is updated that the payment procedure is launched by France Travail.
Payment is made at n + 1: in other words, to receive the January ARE, you will have to declare your situation at the end of January for payment around the beginning of February.
I can update my situation throughout the update period until the closing day (the 15th of the month at midnight). After my update, the transfer of my monthly allowance is sent to my bank within an average of 3 working days* and at the latest 5 working days (* working day = day excluding weekends and public holidays).
How to declare/update my situation with France Travail
Go to the France Travail website, in the dedicated “Updates and changes in situation” section. There you will find all the details and the procedure to follow to update your information and receive unemployment benefit accordingly.
Don't forget to bring your France Travail identifier number, as well as your personal connection code, in advance.
The detailed 2025 calendar, month by month
Now that the rules are in place, here, month by month, are the deadlines and payment dates for the ARE in 2025:
- Allocation for the month of December 2024
12/28/2024: opening of the update of the beneficiary's situation.
2/01/2025: bank transfer of the allowance. More precisely, this is the “date of transmission to my bank of the first transfers of the updating period (if I updated myself from the opening)”, explains France Travail.
01/15/2025: update closes.
- Allocation for the month of January 2025
01/28/2025: opening of the update.
02/03/2025: bank transfer from France Travail.
02/15/2025: update closes.
- Allocation for the month of February 2025
02/26/2025: opening of the update.
03/03/2025: bank transfer from France Travail.
