(Longueuil) A Longueuil resident was injured during a home invasion that occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday, in the presence of a child.
Posted at 7:28 a.m.
Three suspects entered the home located on Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard in the Saint-Hubert borough, around 12:45 a.m.
According to initial information from the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL), a fifty-year-old was hit with a handgun.
“He suffered injuries, but was not transported to a hospital,” said agent Mélanie Mercille, spokesperson for the SPAL.
“A woman in her fifties and a child were also present at the scene. Fortunately, they were not injured,” she said.
The suspects left the scene after stealing money and the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was quickly found by the police.
“The suspects could have wanted to target another person,” explained Mme Mercille.
The SPAL opened an investigation and a perimeter was erected to protect the crime scene.
The suspects, who fled, were not arrested.
Any information about them can be communicated to the police on the Info-Azimut line at (450) 646-8500.
