On December 31, residents of Pariacabo, in Kourou, saw a jaguar prowling very close to their homes. On the video shot, we see the animal heading back towards the forest.
We spoke to you a few days ago about these inhabitants of Iracoubo who are afraid of the jaguar. Now, residents of Pariacabo in Kourou share their fears. On December 31, they saw the feline prowling on their land. Thomas Bebronne was at home. He had time to film the animal.

In a first video, we see the feline, almost motionless, watching for humans who are observing it. Only its tail swings.
The scene is unusual. For Thomas Brebonne and his neighbors, this is certainly the animal responsible for the disappearance of two goats. “You have to do something and capture it,” suggests the author of the video. “It’s surprising to see a jaguar less than a hundred meters from the house.”
At the beginning of December, a man was injured in Degrad Savane, in Iracoubo, while trying to defend his attacked dogs. A few days later, other residents of the same area discovered the body of their dog and traces of paws reminiscent of a feline. The residents of Pariacabo inevitably remember these facts.
In the second video shot by Thomas Bebronne, we clearly see the jaguar heading back towards the forest. The worry is very present. “No one wants to live with a jaguar,” whispers the Kouroucian.
