Among these bakers, pastry chefs, creamers and brewers aged 17 to 29 and from thirteen professions, two studied at the CFA in Joué-lès-. They are Rachel Parison, 18 years old, delicatessen and caterer, and Romain Benat, 18 years old, baker.

Their celebrated know-how

Working until last August at the Goulay delicatessen in Tours, Rachel Parison won the title of Best Apprentice in (Maf) at the end of March 2024. The young woman who is starting additional training “caterer mention” in , pushed by her former boss to “go see other things elsewhere to finish your apprenticeship”, is happy with the invitation: “I didn't expect it, it's great recognition for the competitions and the effort we put in. »

At the end of her studies, which will last another three years, this daughter of butchers and charcutiers (her parents had a shop on Quai Paul-Bert, then Place Coty in Tours) plans to join her brother Rémy, already based in Cinq-Mars. the-Pile. A regular at competitions, Romain Benat, who works in a bakery in Chambray-lès-Tours, added a line to his list of achievements in June 2024: he became third best young international baker after winning the departmental, regional and national competition. Previously, he had also reached second place in the Best Apprentices of France.
