Street lights at half mast and Christmas lights that already seem unplugged… in appearance only.
Ce Saturday January 4, 2025l’public lighting of several neighborhoods from Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (Manche) is off following a breakdown. Individuals are not concerned.
Of Provinces district d’Octeville in Tourlaville, passing through the city center of Cherbourg, and between Équeurdreville-Hainneville and Octeville, public lighting is lacking this Saturday evening in several areas of the urban area.
Caution is advised
According to the first information provided by the municipality around 8 p.m., the system initially started normally at the end of the afternoon before subsequently failing.
A seemingly innocuous breakdown but in the face of which it is appropriate to be extremely carefulparticularly for motorists vis-à-vis pedestrians, who are very difficult to see in the dark.
