Delinquency is increasing in Guadeloupe. The question of security and the resources allocated to it remains problematic for police unions.

We spoke to you yesterday about this closure decided by the managers of the night establishment Le Petit New-York in . A final decision given the insecurity around. Guadeloupe is also experiencing increasing delinquency figures. Delinquency is taking root every day, guns are circulating, as is drug trafficking.

Strong measures must be taken, demand the trade union organizations. Yesterday, the government postponed the presentation of the bill on Mayotte as part of the Mayotte Debout plan after the passage of Cyclone Chido.

A plan presented by Prime Minister François Bayrou, in which security plays an important role. Patrice Abdallah, the territorial secretary of the Police Unit in Guadeloupe hopes that there will be a similar plan for Guadeloupe.

We sincerely hope that this measure may concern us. Beyond words, all this must be done. We are asking for more resources, more staff, but we are always given the same answers. We must therefore move on to another stage today and ensure that the problems facing Guadeloupe are really taken into account, and in particular the problems of insecurity.

Patrice Abdallah, territorial secretary of the Police Unit in Guadeloupe
