A third person is charged with first-degree murder after a body was found at a Lethbridge, Alta., motel last week, police say.

So far, two men have been arrested in this case and police are searching for a 23-year-old woman who is from Pincher Creek.

In a news release, police say Christina Webber, 34, was found dead in a motel room on Dec. 28 and that all three defendants knew the victim.

Police say the defendants went to the room the day after Christmas and that a gun was involved in the incident.

According to the police, the accused left the room with some belongings before fleeing in a SUV who was found burned on 7th Avenue South in Lethbridge.

On December 29, police arrested a 28-year-old man from Cranbrook, British Columbia. A 36-year-old Lethbridge man was arrested the next day.

According to investigators, this is an isolated incident that no longer poses a risk to the public.
