The Dutch solar specialist on large roofs Sunrock, present in France since March 2024, has joined forces with the French photovoltaic developer Solstyce to develop an offer specifically aimed at large French logistics roofs. “Over the past 18 months, Solstyce has intensified its partnerships with real estate investors and logistics professionals, the same players who are among Sunrock's preferred partners in Europe. This strategic convergence will make it possible to deliver up to 30 MWp of solar projects per year on French territory,” explain the two players.

While the Tertiary decree gradually requires the installation of solar or green roofs on new and existing buildings of more than 500 m², this strategic partnership therefore allows Sunrock to add the local expertise and technical skills of Solstyce, which knows understand the specificities of the French market in terms of regulations, insurability or project management. Solstyce offers a range of services for large professional roofs, car parks and ground-mounted plants, mainly for large accounts in urban areas (local authorities, industrial and commercial sector).

In this context, the two partners indicate that two first projects have already been signed. This concerns a roof of 3 MWp or 30,000 m² in Saint-Barthélemy d'Anjou (49) and one of 1.2 MWp or 10,000 m² in (77). Both concern large roofs of logistics platforms and involve preliminary work to renovate the waterproofing complex for the creation of PV ready roofs.
