The firefighters were called upon several times during the night of Thursday January 2 to Friday January 3. They intervened in particular in Montmédy, in the north of the Meuse.
Alerted shortly after 8 p.m., the rescuers put their skills to use. They fought against a fire which broke out in a house in this town. Around fifteen firefighters worked for several hours to bring the fire under control and stop its spread. A disaster, which according to initial findings, was due to a chimney fire.
