That evening, an air of celebration floated in the atmosphere, carrying away the hopes of the young children, before everything fell into the shadow of the unthinkable. Anna Fall, the daughter of El H. Modou Fall, was in the company of two of her friends, including little Souadou Sow, affectionately nicknamed Diary in the neighborhood.
An almost palpable innocence united them: three little girls full of life and impatience, ready to celebrate the New Year like all children their age. The firecrackers were their game, their burst of laughter lighting up the dark night. They only had to talk about it to El H. Modou Fall, their benevolent “uncle”, who, without hesitation, always gave in to their wishes. In a gesture of calculated generosity, he takes a sum of money from his pocket, originally intended for his own daughter Anna Fall, and hands it to the three children, paving the way for their escapade into the streets.
The three little girls walk away happily, with light hearts, heading towards the firecracker market, their objective clear: to make the night burst with a thousand lights. But after only a few minutes, a feeling of frustration takes hold of little Souadou Sow, who feels wronged by her friends, the latter having more firecrackers than her. Unable to stand this injustice, she abandons them without a glance, her steps becoming quick and determined.
She returns to her evening benefactor, El H. Modou Fall. Her eyes clouded with tears, she tells him, crying, about the attitude of her friends and, in a trembling voice, asks him to give her more money to buy even more firecrackers, hoping thus to rediscover the joy of her companions.
Buying a cigarette, the fatal bait
It was around 12:30 a.m. when the destiny of young Souadou Sow changed. Unaware that she had just walked into a trap, she found herself at the mercy of the man she considered a benefactor. El H. Modou Fall, who later admitted to investigators that he was under the influence of five doses of crack, then let his darkest instincts express themselves. Unaware of the malicious intentions of “Uncle Fall”, Souadou climbs the stairs and goes towards the owner, who, in the meantime, has retired to his bathroom. When she gives him the cigarettes, the little girl, who expected to receive money for her firecrackers, becomes tragically disillusioned. She is trapped by an unscrupulous executioner.
The terrible images of a cruel killing
El H. Modou Fall, who had carefully planned his criminal plan, took action. He rushes at his prey, tenses his biceps and attempts with conviction to rape the frail 12-year-old girl who, what’s more, is his daughter’s close friend. Having the advantage of the balance of power, he leaves no chance to his victim who will not even have the opportunity to use his vocal cords to alert the neighborhood.
The incredible violence which he will display to relieve his libido is characterized by the observations made on the body of the little girl by the sleuths of the scientific police and by the forensic doctor who describes the following: “The girl is found half naked in the bathroom located on the 1st floor She was lying in a pool of blood which was also dripping from her mouth and nostrils. That’s not all, Souadou also had swelling. the left eye and visible traces of violence were noted on the neck. To make matters worse, Doctor Guissé of the Keur Massar hospital also noted visible traces of an unsuccessful attempt at sexual intercourse on the deceased. In clearer terms, El H. Modou Fall who attacked his victim to undress her, violently to the point of causing swelling in her left eye, not without strangling her with conviction until the last breath.”

After committing his crime, E Н. Modou Fall, who later told the sleuths that he had acted under the influence of drugs, curiously regained the lucidity to close the bathroom door and go down to the living room where he found his daughter and the servant almost asleep.
