A press company, set up by a very brave lady, Maïmouna NDOUR FAYE and which today finds itself in difficulty, deserves to be well supported and supervised, to further encourage young people, particularly women, to undertake a lot. In my opinion, I, Ansoumana DIONE, President of the Senegalese Association for Monitoring and Assistance to Mentally Ill People (ASSAMM), it would be a real catastrophe, a shame for the Senegalese nation to leave this very talented journalist, in this situation in which she finds herself. What is the only sector that has not benefited from 7tv services?
This is why the new authorities and all the active forces of the nation must mobilize as one man so that 7tv remains in the hands of this brave Maïmouna NDOUR FAYE, known to all, for her professionalism and her love to journalism. In any case, on behalf of all the mentally ill in Senegal, I pray to God, the Almighty Lord to preserve his press company which has long been at the service of the community. We call on all women’s organizations and the press to show solidarity with Maïmouna NDOUR FAYE, a true icon in the media space.
Beyond Maïmouna NDOUR FAYE, we call on the new authorities to better support the private press in particular, since no nation can develop without a strong, free and independent press, in the service of democracy. For years, the Senegalese press has contributed significantly to the development of our country, economically, socially, politically, environmentally, religiously, culturally, among others. In the same way that other key sectors are supported, the press organizations, job providers, deserve particular attention from the new state authorities.
