This Thursday, January 2, during the live Star Academy broadcast on TF1+, Sofia Morgavi met the students for a new singing lesson. She took the opportunity to ask them if there were things they didn't understand about the comments left by teachers on their latest evaluations. Then they did an exercise which allowed the singing teacher to assess their vocal progress. “First I have the vocal aesthetics and then I have the emotion. Sometimes it can happen a little late (…) You should also manage to find these moments and you do it from time to time (…) You lowered that load“, she confided to Ebony before directly addressing Marine: “This is what we need to find“.

Marine then expressed her incomprehension. According to her, she managed to achieve a vocal effect called the twang. “You sought it technically to catch your voice, it's an effect, but a desirable effect. You can put effects on your voice, but not especially the twang, you can find variations“, Sofia Morgavi then told him. After trying to apply her advice by changing her voice, Marine confided that it was not her who sang, which had the gift of annoying the singing professional. “Don't talk nonsense though! It's not me who sings, it's you who sing!” she told him. To which the candidate reacted: “I don't sing like that naturally, I forced myself“. Sofia Morgavi did not kick in touch, far from it. “What you do is natural, you use it with your voice. We're both going to talk!“. A discussion which was not broadcast during the live, but which Marine was able to debrief to the students afterwards. “She told me: 'I love your voice, I would love to listen to one of your songs. But would I come to an hour and a half concert? No !'. She told me I lacked dynamism“.
