As in the rest of the country, Côtes-d'Armor did not escape a resurgence of violence during the night of New Year's Eve, even if the night which saw 2024 shift to 2025 was mainly marked by withdrawals of permits. to drive. 23 license suspensions were thus signed by the prefect (out of 32 initial retentions) and a serious offense was noted with a person taken into custody for driving while intoxicated despite a suspended license.

Three accidents

In total, in the department, more than 1,100 people were checked by the police.

Also during the night, the Costa Rican gendarmes also placed two people in police custody. for domestic violence.

Another person was taken into police custody for violence under alcohol and drugs during a private party.

Furthermore, several vehicles burned in Lannion, three or four at first but, due to the wind, the fire quickly spread and 12 vehicles were ultimately charred.
